Float Friday #13 Lime Rickey and Orange You Glad its Summer!

Yes that is correct I have a double post today. This one was made for a friend of my moms 1st grade end of school party. While I didn't personally make the floats I did make the recipe at home. Another thing I wold like to add is a question: is a Lime/Cherry Ricky a Utah thing or is it a well known flavor? For those who have not tried a Lime Ricky I shall explain: it is a mixture of Sprite, grape suryp, and lime juice. And a Cherry Ricky has cherry juice instead of lime. So if you don't live in Utah and you can find a Lime Ricky please comment where you found one.

The ingredients:

Grape Soda
Orange Soda
Rainbow Sherbet
Lime Sherbet
Small Cups
Small Straws ( I just cut down normal straws using scissors )

Fill your glasses with a small amount of soda.

Scoop in your rainbow sherbet into the glass with orange soda and lime sherbet into the glass with grape soda in it.

And top with more of your soda and your straw!

Microwave Monday #9 Mocha Snacking Cake

Another recipe I stole from my moms recipe book because it is so good! This cake is one of my favorites because (unlike my chocolate cake) this one has flavor. For some reason I was really annoyed at the fact that my chocolate cake that I used to make almost every day is completely disgusting. It was rubbery, flavorless, and eggy. So try this instead of that.
The ingredients:
3 Tbsp butter
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp beaten egg
1/2 Tsp vanilla
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 Tsp baking soda
1/4 Tsp baking powder
1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp STRONG coffee.

Add your sugar and butter to a bowl.

Beat it until fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla

Mix that together.

Add all of your dry ingredients to a bowl and mix well.

And now gather up your coffee, dry ingredients, and butter mixture.

Add your flour mixture to the butter mixture 1/3 at a time.

And then add a 1/2 of your coffee to the batter.

Replete until all of the flour mixture and coffee is gone.

Microwave for 1-2 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked.

I hope you like this recipe and in two weeks this will come up again so try it and then be prepared to have some more!

Float Friday #12 Neapolitan

This one is another post using a very odd soda. Chocolate. It kind of tasted like slightly sour hot chocolate, but it was still good. After I got  the soda I bought some vanilla and strawberry ice cream to go with it.  So without further ado I am proud to present:

The ingredients:

One bottle of chocolate soda
A glass
A straw

Start by pouring a small amount of chocolate soda into your glass

Scoop your ice cream into your glass.

Top with more soda and a straw! I hope you like this recipe and well it wasn't the best float it was better than the peanut butter float.

Microwave Monday #8 Brownies

This is a crazy recipe that took me forever to wrap my head around how to make it work. Basically the recipe is for a not powerful microwave. While mine is the most powerful one I have ever seen! So to successfully make the brownies I had to turn the power to 60%! All in all while it isn't my favorite cake it beats my basic chocolate cake recipe by a LOT.

The ingredients:

1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
2 Tbsp oil
3 Tbsp water

Get out your container out.

Add all of your dry ingredients.

Mix them together.

Add your wet ingredients.

Mix.

Top with chocolate chips.

Cook for 1-1 1/2 minutes

This is the finished product! I hope you enjoy.
By the way I drew this for my Dad on Fathers Day and thought I would share it. I would like to share a bit more of my drawings so comment if you like it. Lastly this was my first time drawing muscles so anatomically it is WAY off but I am doing more work on drawing muscles.

Float Friday #11 Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Peanut butter soda… My Mom  found this at an import store and it tasted kinda gross on its own, but with the ice cream it was great! I also used PB2 which is powdered peanut butter. It should be at your local grocery store.

The ingredients:

One bottle of peanut butter soda
whipped cream
a glass
a straw

Pour a bit of soda into your glass.

Scoop in your ice cream.

Pour soda over the top.

Finish with whipped cream and PB2!

Float Friday #10 Birthday Cake

Yah thats right I turned this:

Into this:

It tasted very good but not a favorite. When I made this we ( my family ) had just came home from yoga ( which by the way is exhausting ) and I wanted a float so I made it and drank it in less than a minute. So that should be proof enough that it is good ( but after the lemon ginger float it tasted mediocre ).

The ingredients:
Whipped cream
Sprinkles
A glass
A straw

Start by pouring a small amount of soda into your glass.

Scoop the ice cream over the soda.

Add the last of the soda over the ice cream. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Microwave Monday #7 Chili Lime Popcorn

Yes I did run out of time. But this is a microwave recipe that tastes good so… Is it any different than any other of my posts? Anyway we bought a box of lime and salt popcorn and it was good but not great. So I mixed up some seasoning that would go great with any popcorn.

The Ingredients:

Microwave Lime Popcorn
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black powder.

Cook your popcorn.

Add all of your spices to a bowl.

Mix them together.

And sprinkle it over your popcorn. And shake it.

And my quickest blog post yet is done ( it takes less time to make this than it does to read this post).
I hope you enjoy!
