Chocolates

Everyone loves chocolate. And everyone has there favorite flavor. This recipe enables you to make your own chocolate candies with your choice of filling. I filled mine with ruined latte fudge but you can use ganache, marshmallow fluff, nut butters, ect. This recipe is not a recipe with measurements it's all up to you to make a lot or a little.

The ingredients

Chocolate melts
shortening
your choice of filling.

Measure how much chocolate you want.

Melt for 30 sec - 1 1/2 minute.

Mix in a very small amount of shortening in to the chocolate melts. Just enough to make the chocolate spreadable.

Using a brush or your finger spread a thin layer of chocolate on the mold. Put it in the freezer for 1-2 minutes.

Add your filling.

And cover the top with chocolate. Freeze it for a few minutes and then pop the chocolates out of the mold.

These taste great and look nice to so enjoy!

Snow Caramels

Making candy using snow has been done for years. In the Little House On The Prairie books they make these out of fresh maple syrup by boiling it down into candy and pouring it over snow. This makes interesting shapes that are all unique. But the one downfall to these is that they melt quickly from the melted snow so these need to be eaten fast.

The Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
fresh clean snow

Pour the sugar into a small pot over medium heat.

When the sugar is melted and a dark amber color remove it from the heat.

Quickly pour the caramel over the snow and let it sit for 2-4 minutes.

These taste good and are very fun to make.

Mint Chocolate Mug Cake

Mint and chocolate go very well together. This recipe was originally for christmas but I didn't get around to posting it so here it is. I changed up this recipe a bit. Unlike my Chocolate Mug Cake this recipe has more sugar, butter instead of oil, more flour, and hot chocolate mix!

The ingredients:

3 TBSP melted butter
3 TBS Milk
2 TBS egg
1/4 cup + 1 TBSP brown sugar
1/4 cup + 1 TBSP all-purpose flour
2 1/2 TBS unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 TBSP Mint truffle hot chocolate mix
3-4 Andes Mint Chocolate

Add the melted butter to you mug. Use a big mug because this makes a lot of cake .

Mix in the milk, sugar, and eggs.

Add the flour.

And the cocoa powder.

Mix in the baking powder and vanilla.

Whisk in the hot chocolate powder. The batter should be very smooth and shiny.

Chop up the chocolates and add them to the batter.

Microwave for 1-2 minutes and enjoy!

Cookies and Cream Mocha

With it being so cold lately hot drinks are needed. Where we live it has been under 10˚ so a lot of coffee and tea have been drank. I made this recipe around the holidays when we had a lot of candy. This takes about 3-4 mini cookies and cream bars. The original recipe had half the coffee and was way to sweet.

The ingredients:

2/3 cup milk.
1/2 cup of Cookies and Cream.
1 cup Coffee.
Whipped cream.

Chop up the cookies and cream bars.

Add the milk and candy bar pieces to a double broiler.

Melt the chocolate over simmering water.

Make your coffee.

And now for the last step. Mix half of the coffee with half of the cookies and cream mixture and top with whipped cream. Enjoy!

Minecraft Eetr Skins.

Todays post is a about Minecraft skins. A skin is the look of your Minecraft character in the game.

And thats it! Now that you know how to upload a skin, here are a few of my own.

StarCraft 2 Zealot Eetr.

Eetr As ghost.

Eetr

Jedi Eetr

These skins need explanation. An "Eetr" is a character that I created. It was originally a sewing project ( as you can see from the button eyes and zipper) called The Eater Of Dogs, which was supposed to be a red dog but since I had just learned how to sew I did not work out well. Towards the end I gave up and made a tail and reptilian tongue.  It ended up to be a large mouthed creature with flippers, a spiked balled tail, a zipper, a snake tongue, button eyes, and covered with sloppy hand sewn threads. After that he became part of a huge world ( 45+ characters and more than 5 worlds) of made up creatures and there adventures hence the name EetrsObsessions . Eetr also happens to be my favorite character to draw which is way all of these skins have a matching drawing. You can download these skins here:

Caramel Sauce

Caramel is an essential ingredient for anything that I make. It is so delicious, smooth, and rich. Yes caramel is almost the most dangerous food to cook, its up there with making pretzels with lye and candy, but I haven't been burnt yet so thats good. I would like to warn you about being burnt by steam when adding the cream. This recipe is delicious when the cooled caramel is whipped until fluffy it tastes delicious .

The Ingredients

1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup + 2 TBSP cream
1 TBSP butter
1 tsp vanilla
a pinch or Fleur De Sal

Cook the sugar in a dry pot over medium high until it melts and turns a golden color. The darker you cook it the more bitter and flavorful it is. But the lighter you cook it the sweeter it will be. Take the hot caramel off the heat and slowly add the cream whisking constantly. Be careful it will foam up a lot. Mix in the butter and vanilla. Add the Fleur De Sal. Thats it your done its that easy.

Colored Sugar

Today I have an extremely easy recipe. Colored sugar! For demonstration purposes I made a cake and tried to stencil the words Eetrs Obsessions on it but that didn't work to well. But since I used box cake mix ( almost my favorite kind ) the only mistake was the decoration. So lets get this recipe started.

Ingredients:

1 cup of white sugar
2-4 drops food coloring
a plastic bag.

Start by putting the sugar in bag.

Add 1-2 drops of food coloring and shake, massage, and mix until most of the food coloring is incorporated.

Add more food coloring. At this point add as much as you want. More for darker sugar and less for lighter sugar.

Give this the most mixing and massaging that you can.

After that your done! But I do have a suggestion. Since the food coloring is wet the sugar will harden slightly. To fix this just sew a small piece of paper into a pocket and fill it with rice then sew it closed. The rice will absorb the residual moisture leaving your sugar as dry as the desert.
