Microwave Monday #5 Caramel Sugar.

This is a great recipe for those who enjoy a verity of options in flavor. How it works is you take your sugar melt it cool that and then grind it into dust. But the customizable part of this is just how dark you want your caramel to be:


This shows white sugar to the darkest burnt sugar.
Light gold: this sugar has a very light caramel taste almost like cotton candy.
Amber: this one has a slight caramel flavor and is less has cotton candy flavor.
Dark Amber: Very caramel-y not barely bitter and when molten will smoke a bit.
Burnt: VERY bitter not very sweet but has a lot of flavor.

The Ingredients:

1/4 cup sugar 
1 Tbsp water
Cooking spray
Food processor


Add your sugar to a measuring cup.


Add the water.


microwave for 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 minutes.


Spray a flat plate or pan and pour out your candy. Let it cool.


Set up your food processor.


Break your candy into your food processor.


Blend until desired size. Thanks for reading :)
